The past year had been good to Jada. After leaving her work and Tye be hind, she never looked back. But the heartache had been difficult to get over. Zoe and Shana, her two best friends, did everything they could to keep Jada’s mind off of Tye. Jada, being the strong woman she was, tried to put a brave face on, but her friends knew that look. They’d experienced themselves. The look of betrayal, hurt, anger..
But there was more to it than that. Jada was ashamed to admit it, but deep down in her heart of hearts she didn’t just hate Tye and his two timing ways, she yearned for him. She yearned for his touch. She yearned for his smell. She yearned to feel him inside her. But these were thoughts she had to keep from her friends. They wouldn’t tolerate them, not after what Tye had put her through.
There were nights out. Many of them. Jada danced the night away with Zoe and Shana. Men came and went, but she wasn’t ready to try again, not really. She pushed her desires deep down as far as they would go, because whenever sex entered her mind, it was with Tye, and she couldn’t take going over those memories time and time again. She needed to be free.
That was when she met Sam. He was what Jada needed, what was good for her. His blonde hair and tanned white skin was the opposite of what she usually went for, but that was fine. In fact, it was better than fine. Jada looked at Sam and saw everything that Tye wasn’t. Other than having an athletic body and a cute smile, he had almost nothing in common with her ex.
Could she call Tye her ex? That was a strange thought to Jada. When they had been seeing each other it had been for months on end. It felt in every way a relationship to Jada, but the truth was – she was a side chick. It was Whitney who was his girlfriend, and the last Jada had heard, his fiancee.
Sam gave Jada something that Tye couldn’t: Stability. Same was loving, caring, he had a great job as a paramedic and was good in bed. He was really good. But there had only ever been one great, and that was with Tye. His touch would send quivers through Jada’s body like electricity, and when she came it was harder than ever before.
But slowly, as the months went on, Jada managed to keep the desire for Tye imprisoned within. She did care for Sam deeply, and with time she was sure that she could grow to love him. As long as nothing happened to derail their relationship.
But something did threaten Jada’s happiness more than she knew, because a chance encounter was around the corner, and it would cause her more pain, more excitement, than she had ever known. Jada was about to walk into the biggest dilemma of her life...
